Take Off The Weight Tuesdays



I have been having a "weigh in" every Tuesday for the past 2 months. Last month and this one so far have been a struggle. I have been between 175 and 170 the whole month and a half! It is just crazy!!!! I will get to 171 and then go back to 175 then the following week 170. Well this morning it's 172 and I'm determined to get out of the 170's this week.


I know how to lose weight. I have done it before. The Biggest Loser sooo helped me on my weight loss journey in the start of Oct of 2006. I was 232 and in a size 22/24 (I'm 5'2) 7 months later I was 126 and in a size 3/5. I was dedicated and determined. I ate every 3 hours and worked out everyday. First was just walking since I couldn't handle a workout at my heaviest. When the weather started changing I was able to do workouts on Fit TV. Gilad, Cathe Friedrich, Sharron Mann and All Star Workouts got me burning calories and shedding the weight. When I did this before I didn't have weeks or months like I have been. EVERY week I lost.. even if it was 1 lb NEVER did I gain any back! I kept most of it off going staying between 126 and 132 until June of last year when I got pregnant. I just had my baby Jan 17th and was 202 right before I had her and 186 lbs when I came home. I was on bed rest and packed on the lbs.


I just got done watching The Biggest Loser ( the only thing I watch on TV besides my workouts ) and know I NEED to get on it. Before when I did this I weighed myself every week after the show. This time I'm going to weigh myself in the morning on Tuesdays and then after the show I will write Take Off The Weight Tuesdays. I'm such a big fan of the show that my mom has bought me The Biggest Loser Scale and cookbook and my husband bought me The Biggest Loser Food Scale and Rice Cooker/ Steamer! If there is anyone who wants to join me feel free to leave a comment with your goal for the next week or just your weight (if you don't mind sharing) . If you want any tips or advice just ask! Let's be "The Biggest Loser" together!


I'm 172 as of this morning. I just want to reach the 160's even if it is 169 by next Tuesday and I'll be happy. After that never to see the 170's again. Writing this post every Tuesday will be a great motivation also. Starting next week I'll take a picture of the scale so you can see my progress! Wish me luck!!!

I came here from the UBP and wanted to say hello! I am a HUGE Biggest Loser fan as well! Do you remember Shawn Algaier from last year? Well, he and his wife are going to work at my church!!! SOOO Cool! He is the greates guy and has kept the weight off thus far!!!

I found your blog through the UBP too. I've always been a believer and considered myself a Christian. I've fallen off the Lord's path but last summer found my way back to His light with our new church. Finding your blog was His hand guiding me.

I'm 5'4" and weigh 225 lbs. I have a bad knee yet need to lose weight desperately. I can't wait to read through more of your posts. I can use the help. God Bless You!

Hi! I'm just visiting from UBP for the first time, but I want to say that I'll be praying for you. (Will you pray for me, also. I took off 50 pounds about 7 years ago, and kept it off for a few years, and then started going up by about 10 pounds a year, and now have gained it all back. I'm starting to exercise, and need some motivation and discipline.) Also, I want to say, Praise the Lord, for your salvation!! My husband & I have recently become fans of The Biggest Loser. This is our first season to watch, but we've been hooked since the first episode. It's so motivating and inspiring & amazing to see people's lives changed.

I've had 3 kids in 3 years & the weight just continued to add up. Last June before I delivered my son, I was 196 lbs. A week after having him, I was at 180. By Christmas, I was 160-165. Watching The Biggest Loser helped my husband & I want to get in shape & I've lost 15 pounds since January. However, it seemed that the weight didn't start coming off until my son was 6 months.

Now, I'm stuck right around 142-145. I think weigh in Tuesday is a great idea! I'm so motivated to break through this plateau!
