By no means do I have a green thumb. I even killed my sons flowers that he planted last year with over watering it. I felt horrible and he was so sad that the flowers he planted for me died. I reassured him it wasn't his fault...Mommy was the murderer. LOL, so now you probably understand why I was so excited when I saw the cantaloupes I planted sprout. Yes, me the plant killer was able to grow something! I have always wanted to have a garden and when my cousin Holly from Living in Louisiana sent me seeds I was so happy, but then found out we aren't allowed to plant anything in our yards where we live. I know my cantaloupes can't stay in there forever, so we'll just have to get more and bigger pots for them. My fingers are crossed that my plants will survive me! So, yes my thumb is slowly turning from black to green! :)

Awesome! Those cantaloupes are pretty easy to grow, I'd say one plant per pot or so. And you might post on freecycle looking for pots. :)
So glad to have had you visit my blog! Your header is beautiful. Is that a sunset from New Mexico?
I laughed at this story because I seem to have been born with a black thumb too. Maybe I'll post about my own plant killing crusades someday!
I had to console myself with the fact that "Only God causes things to grow and therefore He must not have wanted mine to flourish!" Just so I wouldn't develop a complex!
I'm happy to hear that your cantaloupes are doing well!
I'm sure you will be fine! It is fun to grow things!
Thanks for following me. I wish I would keep up with my blog more. I get so busy doing so much. I am not following yours too. Take care and GOD Bless you.
We all are not gardners. Good that you are trying. I gave it up. have a good day
Good luck on your quest. I think my thumb is black.
