Here in Alamogordo we don't have snow mountains to climb. We have white sands at the White Sands National Monument!!! My son is the one in the yellow!
There he is again. Climbing!
So, we don't go sledding on snow. This is how we do it!!!

Brings back such fond memories. This was my stomping ground when I was growing up. Your pictures have made me want to go back... at least for a while!
I love white sand! We don't live anywhere close to sand :-(
How cool! What great shots! Looks like a lot of fun, too.
Great pictures! All that white sand warms me a little here in frozen Illinois!
I am just going to close my eyes and picture myself playing in all that warm sand - we are getting a bit of snow here in Denver today. (booo!)
Thanks for stopping by Spirit of Power - love your blog!

Looks like fun! At least you wouldn't have to bundle up nor be as cold as here in Colorado! Although I'm also not a big fan of sand in everything. Tee hee!! Cool shots!

That sure looks so much fun and here I was missing the snow of MA so much after shifting to CA. Guess all I have to do is hunt for sand now.
Your blog is so cute :)
How fun! I grew up in the snow but I'm sure I'd love sand sledding just the same. Happy WW!
I cannot WAIT for the weather to be warm enough to be in the sand. (Although I think we've had our fill of sledding this winter...)
How amazing!!
What a strong guy!! Love your blog. I'll be back!
Wow, thats awesome! Thanks for stopping by my blog. We have a lot in common! 3 girls and 1 boy, Jesus lovin', homeschooling, co-sleeping, cloth diapering.....cant wait to get to know you better through your blog!
Neat photos!
I mention the "White Sands Proving Grounds" in NM in my true crime memoir; it has an interesting connection to a suspect in the 1955 murder I've written about.
You have a cool blog!
at first i thought it was snow...lol! that's pretty cool. thanks for stopping by :)
It looks like so much fun!
Sledding on sand looks amazing! Here in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, we have a little sled and hardly ever get to use it in the snow.
That looks like fun! How neat!

I remember "sledding" down the white sand and how hot it was... We were actually talking about making this a place to take the kids too when they are older... Great photos..
Looks like loads of fun!!
That looks so fun! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
Looks like tons of fun! Funny thing...up until a few months ago, we were thinking about moving to Alamogordo, NM. Isn't Cloudcroft nearby? In any case, great photos!
Thanks for stopping by and linking your WW post up over at my place. Have a great day.

I have been meaning to comment back for a while now and please excuse my tardiness! This looks like so much fun -- I would have never thought of sledding on sand. I grew up in a place that got its fair deal of snow every year, but it looks like it could be just as fun!! (without the frozen toes!)
