God is Still the Healer of All Healers!!!!!!

I have so much to catch up on! A few days after I found out I had a stress fracture through my whole foot I went to church. At the time I still could not put all my weight on it let alone walk on it. I went up for prayer to be healed and sure enough God took all my pain away and I was able to stand on it and walk around! I still went for my MRI and I know that there is no sign of the stress fracture since I was healed. They said that the results would be at my doctors in 2 days. I called my Dr 2 days later and they said that I would have to make an appointment to get my results. UGH...ok, so I asked to schedule an appointment and they said he wouldn't be able to see me till July 7!
It's funny, when I went to get my MRI the lady said where does it hurt" I told her "it doesn't anymore. God healed me!" She looked at me like I was nuts. She looked at my chart and said "So, you're walking around with a stress fracture that goes through your (she named some bones) and it doesn't hurt at all?" I said " No, not at all. I went up for prayer and as soon as we prayed I was able to walk with absolutely no pain" she said " Ok well, where did it hurt?" I showed her and she put some stickers around that area and we started the scan. We had to do my ankle and my foot since it started at my ankle and went through my foot.

The people in my life know it's true because they were there..I don't know if other people believe it, but it's ok. Nothing is impossible for the God I serve. Healing wasn't just for Biblical times...God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Jesus healed people all the time and still does. I have been healed of a broken finger and diabetes as well (I was on insulin and then went to metformin actos combo). I also have personally known people that have been healed of broken bones, diabetes, being deaf in one ear, being completely blind and doctors saying he would never see (he can see perfectly now), scoliosis of the spine, lupus and a man that is was completely blind at church is getting his sight back! I didn't need to see it to believe and have faith, I just did. My cousin was trying to conceive for 5 years and nothing.. My church started praying in Oct and she found out she was pregnant April 1st!  Of course her and her husband had a part in this, but ultimately it was Gods doing. There's also another miracle that God has done in my life. This one is huge, but I'm going to save that one for another post! I'll have to give my testimony as well of me being raised Catholic, becoming Pagan to becoming a saved born again Christian (another post). So, just remember, Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

What if Your Dad Was Homeless? *UPDATE!!!!!!!*

If you haven't already please read What if Your Dad Was Homeless HERE.

A few days ago there was a knock my door. When I opened it, I saw a older gentleman he said "Is Shelby home?" I said "No he's not here right now". After I said that it hit me...It's Jimmy!!! I didn't even recognize him! He had gained about 10-15 lbs, cut his hair, shaved his mustache, was wearing some spiffy clothes and no longer had a sun burn on his face from sitting outside all day long. He said "I don't know if you remember me" I said "Of course I do Jimmy, I just didn't recognize you. You look great!" I invited him in and he told me how he had been sober for awhile. He knows a couple that is selling their home and is letting him stay there until it sells. He doesn't have much just clothes and a sleeping bag, but he is VERY happy. He pulled out a box and said " I have something for you and Shelby" he opened it and pulled out 2 pins. They both were the same with footprints on them. He said that he wears his on his collar and got them from his AA meetings that he goes to. I told him that I liked them a lot and thank you. He then said "let me give you my phone number. I have a cell". WOW..I don't even have a cell! :) I got his number and gave him mine. He has never had a cell, so didn't know how to add our number to the contacts. I put our number in and showed him how to add numbers to his phone. He said that he had to go and I told him that I would tell Shelby that he stopped by. I shut the door after he walked out feeling the happiest I felt that day. I forgot to ask him about his daughter. I wonder if she knows he is doing great and is sober. It's going to be great when they get to reunite!!!

Find it Games Review & GIVEAWAY!!!!

Just recently I was able to review a Find It Game of my choice from finditgames.com. As soon as I was contacted by them and saw the games I knew I wanted to do the review and knew exactly the one that I wanted to review! Not only did finditgames.com want me to do a review, but a giveaway as well!!!

Product Description (on site)
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Find It – Wizard of Oz Edition celebrates the classic story of Dorothy and her friends and their incredible journey through Oz! Features: Includes characters from the beloved story: Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Woodsman, and the Cowardly Lion. Also includes 26 more Oz-related items, such as an emerald, a yellow brick, a broom, and our favorite “little dog”, Toto. Perfect for the car or stuff it in your backpack, or display it on the living room coffee table for all your friends and family to enjoy. Slightly smaller version enhances portability – bring it along with you wherever you go. A Classic Game for a Classic Story. For 1 or more players. For ages 8 and up.

My Review
I picked The Wonderful World of Oz, since my mom named me after Glenda the Good Witch on the Wizard of Oz and is always getting me things that are Wizard of Oz. I was pretty excited when my Find It Game  arrived. We don't have many games and I thought it would be great for all of us to play. My son is 4 years old and got to play first. I would tell him what to look for and he would try to find it. When he couldn't find something he would ask what the next thing to look for was. Next to play was my husband. He absolutely loved it! He said "this is one of the best games I have ever played besides the games on my XBOX". Finally, it was my turn! I'm not the most patient person and seeing them have fun, I just wanted to butt in and start playing myself. How I wanted to play was start at the top of the list and go down. I like more of a challenge. Let's say I ended up just finding things and checking them off, since the way I wanted to play is for someone that has been playing awhile. I really enjoyed this game. My favorite part was that all of us could play and there are so many ways to play. Who finds the most wins, who finds the items fastest and the list goes on. This is the most unique, challenging and fun game. My opinion it's a game for all ages! I do have one complaint, it's way too addicting!!

Keepsake Breastmilk Pendant Review!

It's already going to be 5 months that I have been breastfeeding my youngest. I love it! I get a bit sad when I think of her getting older and weaning herself. Have you ever thought of preserving this memory forever? I didn't, until I saw the Breastmilk Pendants that Hollyday Designs make. I was over joyed when I found out that I was going to review one of my own! Click HERE to read how these pendants are made.

Product Description (from shop)
Made from your own breastmilk, this beautiful pendant will last as a visual keepsake of your precious nursing experience.
To read more about the process please visit this link http://hollydaydesigns.blogspot.com/2010/02/milk-pendant-information.html

My Review
I picked the Mother and Child Pendant for review. The process was VERY easy. I just pumped some of my milk and stored it in a bag then placed it in another bag. I was able to fit it in an envelope to send it off. I placed 2 stamps on my envelope just in case. That's it! Just a few weeks later I received my Breastmilk Pendant in the mail. There was a little break in my heart, but Hollyday Designs said that they would be more than happy to make me another one if I wanted! No way! I LOVE IT! It makes my keepsake even more unique! This is a great nursing necklace as well. The time and effort Hollyday Designs puts into making these is amazing. I picked the Mother and Child Pendant, since I will be giving this to my youngest daughter when she gets older. I was really only able to breastfeed her and  this pendant means so much already. I showed my pendant to a former breastfeeding mom, she said "What a beautiful idea! I wish they had these when I was breastfeeding. It's way too late for me, but my daughter is having a baby in Aug..I'll have to tell her about this!" I recommend this for all breastfeeding moms. This is YOUR milk preserved forever! I can't even express how much I absolutely love this! Thank you sooo much Hollyday Designs for being able to preserve this memory for me forever! These Breastmilk Pendants are truly priceless!!!!!!To read exactly how this process is done click HERE.

If you don't want a necklace Hollyday Designs also makes other pendants such as the Breastmilk Pendant Bookmark and Breastmilk Pendant Cell Phone Charm or Zipper Pull!

If you want you can even buy birthstone charms to go with your necklace!
You don't want to miss out on this chance to be able to have one of your own! Like I said earlier, you really can't put a price on this keepsake! Click HERE to buy your Breastmilk Pendant today!

Pocket Diaper from Granny's Fancy Pants Review & GIVEAWAY!!!

One of the other things that I love besides breastfeeding is cloth diapering! They are not only better for babies skin (don't contain chemicals found in disposable), the environment, but also will save bunches of money! So, it was my pleasure to be able to do a review of a Custom Made Embroidered Pocket Diaper from Granny's Fancy Pants, but that's not all...I'll also be doing a giveaway!

Description (of my diaper from site)
Custom Made EMBROIDERED Don't Make Me Call Grandma Pocket Diaper. You Specify Size.

Pick from:
Small: Newborn - 15 pounds

Medium: 15 - 25 pounds

Large: 25 pounds and up

lining) inside. Backside of diaper embrodiered with design shown in photo. Diaper has a
pocket opening that allows for a soaker pad to be placed in diaper for more absorbency. One
soaker included made fromfleece for wicking, Terrycloth and soft flannel. Colors will be as
they appear in photos unless special order. Custom orders accepted.
Made in a smoke free home.
Please note: these diapers are made when you order so allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

My Review
My Custom Made Embroidered Pocket Diaper from Granny's Fancy Pants is just the cutest! My daughter is 9lbs 14 oz the small was just a bit snug. I would have gone with a med. I think it's because she is a little on the short side so it seems like she is just a little more plump. That was just a sizing issue on my part other than that the diaper worked absolutely great! There were no leaks and it fit good around the legs. The first time I put it too tight, but realized it. I have problems with the legs of diapers since my daughters legs are thin (like mine with all her weight in the middle) I received two soakers with my diaper that soaked wonderfully! I loved that there were no leaks at all and kept my baby's skin pretty dry. I only used one soaker at a time since 2 couldn't have fit, since like I said I should have gone with a med. Usually even when I have a flannel liner on the outside I still feel the dampness on the outside from when she wets, but this diaper I wasn't able to, which was another plus! These diapers get an A+ for absorbency, leak proof, waterproof the quality how it was made and style!.

Buy it!
Click HERE to go to Granny's Fancy Pants and buy your own Custom Made Embroidered Pocket Diaper for ONLY $9.99!!!! This is such a great price for such a wonderful pocket diaper that you can't just buy one!

Vintage Aprons Review & GIVEAWAY!

Vintageaprons
I've been a homemaker for quite some time now and usually will put on my "clothes not for public" to clean and cook. You know, the clothes you have with the stain on it from when you were cooking or the clothes with the holes in them. Lately I've not just wanted an apron, but have actually needed one. VintageAprons.com have the most beautiful retro aprons I have EVER seen! When VintageAprons.com told me that I could do a review AND a giveaway I was jumping up and down (literally).

My Review
Let me tell you, it took about 3 hours to finally pick my apron! VintageAprons.com has a wide selection of aprons including Full Vintage Aprons, Half Vintage Aprons and even Kids Vintage Aprons! Some of the aprons even come with a matching oven mitten! The apron I finally picked to review was the Woven Houndstooth Vintage Apron "Heirloom quality Designer Hostess Apron constructed from a fine Linen/Cotton Blend." (from site). I have so many great things to say about this apron and am seriously trying to think of one bad thing, but can't at the moment. These aprons are classy, durable and the quality is exceptional; a definite A+! It's great to know my apron will last a VERY long time! I even like how the ties at the waist are long enough to wrap around my midsection more than once so that I can tie it in the front or on the side for a different look. Also, the longer ties are great for expanding bellies on lucky expecting mamas! One of the reasons I picked this one is because it has two pockets and I was pleased to find that they have plenty of room for gloves and other items I might need while cleaning or cooking. I found out today I have a stress fracture in my ankle, so unfortunately I won't be cleaning like I had been. I can't wait till I can....in style! Who said we had to look frumpy while cleaning or cooking? You know what?  I finally thought of something I didn't like..I didn't like that I didn't get more than one! :)

Buy it!
Me and Mine in a Small Town readers will be getting a 10% off their entire order with code MEANDMINE (in all caps)! Click HERE to go to VintageAprons.com and purchase your own Vintage Apron. This is a great gift for any lady that you might know. Looking for the perfect gift for that Bridal Shower? You're looking right at it!

It's Not a Sprain...

I just got back from an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon not too long ago. My appointment was at 10:45am and they wanted me to be there at 10:15. We arrived at 10:10. and guess when I was called back....11:30! Then I had to wait another 30 min before even being seen! Anyways, they wanted me to bring my X-rays from the ER, so yesterday my husband picked them up. When he brought them home I decided to take a look. I was not happy with how they were taken. The X-ray was of my calf and the very top of my ankle. I told them to make sure they get the top of my foot as well, since it was hurting pretty bad.
Well, when the Dr came in I told him this, so he ordered more X-rays.  A nurse came in and got them all ready for the Dr to view. After waiting another 20 min he comes in and takes a look at my foot, tries moving it and pokes it in a few places . He then takes a look at the X-rays and says there is a stress fracture right below the bottom of my ankle at the very top of my foot also that it's extremely inflamed. He says he wants an MRI done on it also and said it usually takes 6-12 weeks to completely heal. I wanted to cry! What about my workouts?! I was able to get to a scale this morning and saw I gained 5 lbs! This just isn't right! He placed a big boot on me and says we might have to go for a regular cast depending on the results of the MRI. I will continue to keep you all updated!!!

The one right before this one landed on a lady that said she blogged about this giveaway. I remember checking it before and decided to let her know on her post.
